now the back ground it lovely all around and again its quite detailed to the setting but is also a little confusing. i love the dark painting behind yin yin and i understand the symbolism to go with shadow nature but some thing about it seems off and over done using the painting to describe her being dark people often use stuff like this to convey a character in art so even though it fits the picture i think you could have used some thing new thats used less. on the light side i love how you made the rays of light coming through the window their clear and realistic the blend perfectly with every thing else.
last thing is another point of confusion in the back ground why so many flowers? why all of the same type i think you over used those flowers they make it a little off balance as a suggestion you could have used white lilies or harmony ikebana flowers [link] to give off more of a variety.
still the picture as a whole is very lovely and you must have put alot of work into it.
